In the last three decades the Volkswagen Jetta has carved out a niche as a sporty compact sedan for buyers with premium tastes. The sixth generation Jetta is larger but less expensive to produce than the previous version. The result is a Jetta with fewer upscale touches but one that is better able to compete price wise with the class leading Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic.
